Antigua and Barbuda is expanding its use of innovative water technology as the government works with Japanese company WOTA Corp on solutions designed to strengthen national water resilience.

WOTA representatives met with Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene on August 17 to discuss the company’s ongoing work in Antigua and Barbuda and opportunities for deeper cooperation. 

A major focus is a joint proof-of-concept project examining how WOTA’s technology could contribute to more resilient water systems in the twin-island state.

The partnership is particularly significant for Antigua and Barbuda as the country looks for technology-driven approaches to water security and climate resilience.

Smart water technology could help the country improve resource efficiency while supporting long-term infrastructure planning.

The latest discussions also highlight Antigua and Barbuda’s broader push to use international technology partnerships to address national development challenges.
