Aruba is taking a new step toward strengthening its technology and digital-skills ecosystem through a cooperation agreement with Curaçao focused on education digitization and innovation.

Aruba and Curaçao signed a Memorandum of Understanding in July 2026 covering cooperation in digital education, technology-based learning and the development of stronger digital skills. The agreement includes collaboration on STEM education, digital pedagogy and innovation in teaching methods.

The partnership also opens the door to joint exploration of digital testing, learning analytics and blended-learning projects, creating opportunities for both islands to exchange expertise and test new approaches to technology-driven education.

The agreement could help strengthen Aruba's long-term digital workforce by giving students and educators greater exposure to technology, data-driven learning and STEM-based skills.

The development comes as Aruba continues pursuing wider digital transformation across government and public services. The government's e-government strategy has included plans to increase interoperability between public services, with the goal of making services faster and more citizen-focused.

For Aruba's technology sector, the new cooperation could become an important platform for developing future digital talent while encouraging regional innovation and cross-island technology partnerships.
