Montserrat is building momentum around its local-events calendar as community activities, cultural experiences and tourism attractions continue to give residents and visitors more ways to experience the island.

The Montserrat Tourism Authority maintains a dedicated events calendar alongside its wider programme promoting the island’s festivals, cultural activities and visitor experiences.

While the official August calendar currently shows limited scheduled listings, the Authority continues to promote experiences ranging from cultural and heritage activities to guided visits, beaches, hiking and water-based excursions.

Among the island’s signature visitor experiences are guided visits to the buried capital of Plymouth, Soufrière Hills Volcano tours, the National Trust and Botanical Gardens, and heritage-focused activities. Access to some areas, including St. George’s Hill, requires advance arrangements and certified guides.

The combination of community activities and distinctive heritage experiences gives Montserrat an opportunity to strengthen its local-events offering while supporting tourism and cultural engagement.

As the island moves toward the final months of 2026, residents and visitors will be watching for additional announcements covering festivals, cultural programmes and seasonal community events.
