Montserrat is giving young people a stronger introduction to technology and digital skills through the 2026 ICT Summer Club, currently underway at the island’s Innovation Centre.

The programme runs from August 10 to August 28, 2026, with young participants taking part in ICT-focused learning activities designed to build practical technology skills. The programme is being hosted at the ICT Lab at the Innovation Centre in Montserrat.

The initiative comes as Montserrat continues efforts to strengthen its digital capabilities. The Government’s ICT Unit is responsible for coordinating implementation of the island’s National ICT Plan and supporting the wider use of information and communications technology.

For a small island economy, developing young technology talent could be particularly important for digital entrepreneurship, remote employment, cybersecurity and technology-based businesses.

The 2026 ICT Summer Club is therefore more than a holiday programme—it provides an opportunity to introduce the next generation to skills that could shape Montserrat’s future digital economy.

The programme also supports the island’s broader ambition to become more digitally connected and create new opportunities through technology.
